Managing sleep difficulties in grief – Grief Support Meeting

4 April @ 10:00 am11:30 am

Welcome to our 1.5-hour grief support meeting online. This event will focus on managing sleep difficulties in grief.

Sleep is such an important part of our lives, and losing sleep can make everything in life seem more effortful.

Traumatic experiences like bereavement can cause our body and our brain to get out of sync, meaning that a deliberate effort to sleep better may be necessary. It may involve changing your entire routine, a routine that previously worked for you.

Join one of our Clinical Psychologists for our sleep workshop that will talk through sleep difficulties and pass on some strategies for trying to manage troubled sleep.

At The Loss Foundation  we are committed to providing the best support possible to those who use our services. We know it’s not a one size fits all when it comes to grief, and therefore we are always keen to learn if and how our support is beneficial. People partaking in our online workshop will be invited to complete some questionnaires before and after the event – all of which are made anonymous.

Who is the grief support meeting for?
The session is open to anyone bereaved by cancer or coronavirus.

This event is for people aged 18 and over. Please get in touch with us if you are looking for support for children so we can signpost you to other organisations.

Do I have to pay for it?
No, like all our services, the support is free. But there are limited spaces available so we recommend signing up as soon as possible. If the event is booked up you can join a waiting list and we will let you know if a space frees up.

How do I take part?
You can register to join the Grief Support Meeting by clicking the Registration button below.

You will be sent an email with instructions for joining the video session and you can click in at the time of the meeting.

Please note that we are not a crisis service, so if you are in need of immediate support please do reach out to Samaritans who provide immediate listening support. They can be reached on 116 123.

We look forward to seeing you there!
