Online support group – Friend loss to Cancer

Theme: This support group is open to anyone who has lost a friend to cancer
This event is for people aged 18 and over. Please get in touch with us if you are looking for support for children so we can signpost you to other organisations.
Join our online bereavement support group on Tuesday 16th May 2023 from 7:00-8:30pm.
To ensure that the groups run as well as possible online we will be limiting the number of people able to join the session. We have three times as many people signing up for each group than there are spaces. We know it is difficult to predict how you will feel on the day itself, but please only complete registration if you think you will be able to attend.
How will this work?
Connect to others who have experienced a similar loss to you by registering for the online support group below. You will be sent an email with instructions for joining the video and you can click in at the time of the meeting to get started and meet others.
Please note that we are not a crisis service, so if you are in need of immediate support please do reach out to Samaritans who provide immediate listening support. They can be reached on 116 123.
Our online support groups are informal and welcoming, and the space is there for you to use it as you need it on the day. Our excellent volunteers will be there to welcome you online and support you.
Running groups online is new for us and we are keen to make the experience as inclusive and beneficial as possible. We will send all participants a short survey after the session to get their feedback so that we can improve our services for all. Thank you for your patience and contributions.
