Online Christmas Eve Get-Together for people bereaved by coronavirus

Theme: This event is open to anyone who has lost a loved one to coronavirus.
Join our online Christmas Eve get-together event on Saturday 24th December from 10:30am – 11:30am.
How will this work?
We know that Christmas can be a particularly difficult time when a loved one has died. It may be that you want to avoid Christmas all together. You do what you need to do, and know that you can join this event to meet others who are also experiencing grief at this time of year.
This particular session will be partly facilitated and a mixture of one of our grief support meetings and an online social to meet others who have lost a loved one to coronavirus.
Our founder Dr Erin Thompson will be hosting the event and will welcome you and run through some guidelines. She will help introduce the group and then be leaving you to talk privately with one another. The aim is to make the session as close to meeting in person as possible… we know it’s very different, but the aim is just to meet and chat with others who have experienced a similar loss. And it is okay to not talk about your loss too! You do what you need to do.
We will NOT be limiting the number of people who are able to register for our online get-together events. We think there should be events that don’t have a waiting list attached to them.
It may be that just a small group of people turn up. However, if we have a lot of people joining for the event, we will welcome you all together and create breakout rooms online so that people can speak in smaller groups.
This event is for people aged 18 and over. Please get in touch with us if you are looking for support for children so we can signpost you to other organisations.
How do I take part?

You will be sent an email with instructions for joining the event and you can click in at the time of the meeting to get started and meet others.
