Online Get-Together for people bereaved by cancer

Theme: This event is open to anyone who has lost a loved one to cancer.

Join our online get-together event on Thursday 30th June from 7pm – 8:30pm.

How will this work?
Good question! The aim is simply to meet and chat informally with others who have experienced a similar loss, without it being in a more formal support group format.

We will NOT be limiting the number of people who are able to register for our online get-together events. We think there should be events that don’t have a waiting list attached to them.

It may be that just a small group of people turn up. However, if we have a lot of people joining for the event, we will welcome you all together and create breakout rooms online so that people can speak in smaller groups.

Just to let you know, the session will NOT be facilitated. Our volunteer/s will welcome you and run through some guidelines, but they will then be letting you talk privately with one another. The aim is to make the session as close to meeting in person as possible… we know it’s very different, but the aim is just to meet and chat with others who have experienced a similar loss. And it is ok to not talk about your loss too! You do what you need to do.

This event is for people aged 18 and over. Please get in touch with us if you are looking for support for children so we can signpost you to other organisations.

How do I take part?
You can register to join the online get-together event by clicking the Registration button below.

You will be sent an email with instructions for joining the event and you can click in at the time of the meeting to get started and meet others. Please arrive on time as latecomers will not be permitted to join the event once the introduction is over.
