SUMMARY:Online support group – First year of cancer loss
DESCRIPTION:Theme: This support group is open to anyone who has lost a loved one to cancer in the last year. \n\n\n\nJoin our online bereavement support group on Tuesday 1st September 2026 from 7:00-8:30pm. \n\n\n\nTo ensure that the groups run as well as possible online we will be limiting the number of people able to join the session. We often have more people signing up for each group than there are spaces. We know it is difficult to predict how you will feel on the day itself\, but please only complete registration if you think you will be able to attend. \n\n\n\nThis event is for people aged 18 and over. Please get in touch with us if you are looking for support for children so we can signpost you to other organisations. \n\n\n\nHow will this work?Connect to others who have experienced a similar loss to you by registering for the online support group below. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy is our support free? \n\n\n\nWhen Erin created The Loss Foundation\, she wanted people grieving to be able to find the support she wished had existed when her dad died. \n\n\n\nToday\, our community helps us keep that support free. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRead Erin’s story →\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will be sent an email with instructions for joining the video and you can click in at the time of the meeting to get started and meet others. \n\n\n\nPlease note that we are not a crisis service\, so if you are in need of immediate support please do reach out to Samaritans who provide immediate listening support. They can be reached on 116 123. \n\n\n\nMuch like our in-person events\, our online support groups are informal and welcoming\, and the space is there for you to use it as you need it on the day. Our excellent volunteers will be there to welcome you online and support you. \n\n\n\nWe send all participants a short survey after the session to get their feedback so that we can improve our services for all. Thank you for your contribution in helping us improve our support.

SUMMARY:Walk and Talk - Richmond Walk and Talk\, London - Loss to Cancer
DESCRIPTION:Who is this walk for? This walk is for adults (18+) who have lost a loved one to cancer. It’s a space to connect with others who truly understand\, in a supportive and relaxed environment. \n\n\n\nWhere will we be walking? The walk will be from Richmond and finishing at Kew Bridge. It will last approximately 1.5 hours\, and is designed to be gentle and enjoyable. \n\n\n\nFeeling nervous? We understand that joining a group like this might feel daunting – it’s completely normal to feel unsure. Many of our walkers have felt the same way at first. Rest assured\, this is a welcoming and supportive space. You can take things at your own pace\, and there’s no pressure to talk more than you feel comfortable. Here is a quote from one of our previous walkers: \n\n\n\n“It was a small enough group that we could engage in deeper conversation. We all went for coffee afterwards. Honestly\, the best grief event I’ve ever attended. Thank you Loss Foundation!!” \n\n\n\nWhat to expect: \n\n\n\n\nA small group of up to 10 walkers to keep things intimate and comfortable.\n\n\n\nA friendly volunteer host who will walk and chat with you\, making sure everyone feels at ease.\n\n\n\nThe chance to spend time outdoors with people who’ve experienced similar loss.\n\n\n\n\nWe ask that you let us know in advance if you’d like to bring a guest (as spaces are limited) and kindly note that pets and children cannot join the walk. \n\n\n\nWhat are the timings for the day?Walkers will be meeting at 10:30am. We aim to complete the walk in approximately 1.5 hours\, at approximately 12:00pm. This will be a very casual walk. \n\n\n\nWho is the host? Our lovely volunteer Linda will be hosting this walk. She will have a yellow Loss Foundation sign and will be wearing a lanyard. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo I need to be an experienced walker? Not at all! This walk isn’t about fitness or speed. It’s about being outdoors\, meeting others\, and finding comfort in shared experiences. Whether you’re a seasoned walker or a total beginner\, you’re very welcome. \n\n\n\nReady to join us?Sign up by completing the registration form below\, and we’ll send you an email with all the details you need to take part. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\nYou will be sent an email with full details for the walk. \n\n\n\nPlease note that we are not a crisis service\, so if you are in need of immediate support please do reach out to Samaritans who provide immediate listening support. The only difference is that the closed groups will allow for the same group of people to meet each month for 4 months. SUMMARY:Walk and Talk - Dulwich Park Walk and Talk\, London - Loss to Cancer
DESCRIPTION:Who is this walk for? This walk is for adults (18+) who have lost a loved one to cancer. It’s a space to connect with others who truly understand\, in a supportive and relaxed environment. \n\n\n\nWhere will we be walking? The walk will be around Dulwich Park. It will last approximately just over an hour\, and is designed to be gentle and enjoyable. \n\n\n\nWhat are the timings for the day?Walkers will be meeting at 11am. We aim to complete the walk just over an hour later\, at approximately 12:15pm. This will be a very casual walk. \n\n\n\nWho is the host? Our lovely volunteer Liane-Louise will be hosting this walk. They can be reached on 116 123. \n\n\n\nPlease note that if we have only one person registered for a walk and talk event we will unfortunately have to cancel the event. \n\n\n\nWe send all participants a short survey after the session to get their feedback so that we can improve our services for all. Please get in touch with us if you are looking for support for children so we can signpost you to other organisations. \n\n\n\nHow will this work?Connect to others who have experienced a similar loss to you by registering for the online support group below. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\nYou will be sent an email with instructions for joining the video and you can click in at the time of the meeting to get started and meet others. SUMMARY:Online grief support bubble– Parent Loss
DESCRIPTION:Theme: This support group is open to anyone who has lost a parent to cancer. \n\n\n\nJoin our online grief support bubble starting on Monday 15th June 2026 from 7:00-8:30pm. \n\n\n\nWhat is a Grief Support Bubble? Our Grief Support Bubbles will run in much the same way as our other support groups\, giving you a chance to meet others with a similar loss. The only difference is that the closed groups will allow for the same group of people to meet each month for 4 months. We think this will create a greater opportunity to make more meaningful connections and for people to benefit more from the group process. \n\n\n\nThe dates for this support group are: \n\n\n\nMonday 15th June\, 20th July\, 17th August\, 21st September \n\n\n\nPlease note you need to be able to attend all sessions to join the group. \n\n\n\nTo ensure that the groups run as well as possible online we will be limiting the number of people able to join the session. We often have more people signing up for each group than there are spaces. SUMMARY:Walk and Talk - Havant\, Hampshire - Loss to Cancer
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 7th June 2026 we will be hosting an informal walk and talk event around Havant in Hampshire. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho is this walk for? \n\n\n\nThis walk is for adults (18+) who have lost a loved one to cancer. It’s a space to connect with others who truly understand\, in a supportive and relaxed environment. \n\n\n\nWhere will we be walking? \n\n\n\nWe’ll begin in Havant and follow the scenic Hayling Billy Trail down to Chichester Harbour. If the tide allows\, we’ll stroll along the beach to Warblington before heading back. The walk will take about an hour and is designed to be gentle and enjoyable. \n\n\n\nFeeling nervous? \n\n\n\nWe understand that joining a group like this might feel daunting – it’s completely normal to feel unsure. We aim to complete the walk just over one hour later\, at approximately 11:30am. \n\n\n\nWho is the host? \n\n\n\nOur lovely volunteer Steve will be hosting this walk. Look out for his friendly face on arrival. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo I need to be an experienced walker? \n\n\n\nNot at all! This walk isn’t about fitness or speed. It’s about being outdoors\, meeting others\, and finding comfort in shared experiences. Whether you’re a seasoned walker or a total beginner\, you’re very welcome. \n\n\n\nReady to join us? \n\n\n\nSign up by completing the registration form below\, and we’ll send you an email with all the details you need to take part. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\nPlease note that we do not allow guests unless you let us know in advance (as we are capping the number of attendees for each walk). \n\n\n\nPets and children are also not able to attend. \n\n\n\nPlease note that we are not a crisis service\, so if you are in need of immediate support please do reach out to Samaritans who provide immediate listening support. They can be reached on 116 123. \n\n\n\nWe send all participants a short survey after the session to get their feedback so that we can improve our services for all. Thank you for your contribution in helping us improve our support.
