SUMMARY:Online Christmas Day Get-Together for people bereaved by cancer
DESCRIPTION:Christmas Day Online Get-Together \n\n\n\nFriday 25 December 2026 | 9:00–10:00am (UK time) \n\n\n\nFor anyone aged 18+ who has lost a loved one to cancer. \n\n\n\nChristmas can be a particularly difficult time when someone you love has died. Whether you’re spending Christmas Day alone\, finding the day difficult\, or simply fancy some company with others who understand grief\, you’re very welcome to join us. \n\n\n\nWe’re hosting an informal online get-together on Christmas morning\, giving people the opportunity to connect\, have a chat and spend some time together. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect \n\n\n\nOur founder\, Dr Erin Hope Thompson\, will be hosting the get-together from 9:00–10:00am. She’ll welcome everyone\, make introductions and help get conversations started. \n\n\n\nAfter the first hour\, Erin will leave\, but everyone is welcome to stay online and continue chatting for as long as they’d like. \n\n\n\nThis isn’t a structured grief support group or therapy session. It’s simply an opportunity to spend some time with others who have experienced a similar loss. You can talk about your loved one\, share how you’re finding Christmas\, or chat about something completely different. There’s no pressure to talk about grief at all. \n\n\n\nYou might like to bring a cup of tea or coffee\, have your breakfast with us\, or simply join for a bit of company. \n\n\n\nThere is no limit on registrations. \n\n\n\nHow to join \n\n\n\nRegister using the button below and we’ll email you instructions for joining the online get-together. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\nYou can join from wherever you feel comfortable\, and there’s no expectation to stay for the full hour. \n\n\n\nA few things to know \n\n\n\nThis event is open to adults aged 18 and over who have experienced the death of a loved one from cancer. \n\n\n\nThe get-together is informal and is not a facilitated support group. After the first hour\, participants can continue chatting together without a TLF host present. \n\n\n\nPlease note that The Loss Foundation is not a crisis service.
