We believe that everyone who has lost a loved one to cancer should be able to talk freely and openly about their experiences of grief and have the right support available. With your support, we can expand our specialist bereavement services and be there for everyone who needs us.

Latest news: we have created a COVID-19 bereavement support service for those who lose a loved one during the pandemic. If you are able to give, your donation will help us expand this service and reach more people who need the right support.

Your monthly donation gives us the regular income we need to expand our services in a sustainable way.

£5 a month allows us to have homemade cakes at one of our support groups. Cakes are part of our charitable ethos!


£7 a month covers the cost of one person joining a monthly support group


£15 a month helps stock our library with the most up-to-date reading material for people to read and take comfort in between support group sessions

Fundraising for us can be a way to show people who are grieving that you care. If you too have lost someone to cancer, it can be a way to engage proactively with your own sense of loss and to help others like you benefit from our valuable and healing support.

To give you an idea of what our money goes towards and how you can help:

 

£260 covers the cost of a place at one of our bereavement retreats and provides a weekend of full support


£500 covers the cost to put on a workshop about bereavement for other organisations, helping us to reach a wider network of those who need our support


£1500 allows us to set up and run a new monthly support group for one year

 

Fundraising news – Walk Dedicated to our Loved Ones

Each year we run one or two walks to hold in mind our dearest loved ones who are no longer here with us.

Our last walk was on Saturday 5th October 2019 when a group of friends and supporters walked 12 miles across from High Barnet to Turkey Street Station.

It was a lovely day of walking and talking and over £300 was raised for bereavement support services.

Fundraising news – Hackney Half Marathon

We still have some places available in the 2020 Hackney Half Marathon. The run has been postponed due to coronavirus, and we will update this page as soon as a new date is announced. In the meantime you can register your interest to raise funds for us by taking part in the event by clicking here.
