Raise Funds in Memory of Your Loved One

We’re inviting walkers to raise £100 in memory of their loved one through self-funding, asking friends and family for sponsorship, or a mix of both. The funds you raise will ensure we can support even more people who may be overwhelmed by grief in the coming year.

We’ve created a donation page for our walk. If you’re happy to help us, you can share the link to our fundraising page with your friends and family. By clicking the ‘Donate’ button on the page, individuals can leave a message of encouragement for you, and/or a tribute to your loved one.

You can also set up your own fundraising page. Visit: www.totalgiving.co.uk/fundraise/the-loss-foundation and follow the instructions (the form only takes a few minutes to complete).

Charlotte’s Story

Charlotte will be taking part in our Sponsored Cancer Loss Walk in memory of her mum, Barbara, on 16th September. Here is a short excerpt from Charlotte’s touching JustGiving page.

“I’ve roped my husband Dru into doing a charity walk in memory of my Mum. She died in July 2020 of Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer, plus another bunch of secondary cancers throughout the body. All in a global pandemic, whilst I was halfway through my first pregnancy. She always had great timing”.

^^^ Bárbara is pictured above, including with Charlotte’s father Lee (Bárbara and Lee were together from ages 16 and 17, until Lee passed away in 2012).

“We held a funeral for her, but it was at a time where you had to restrict the ‘guestlist’ and I don’t feel like she got the send off she deserved. So one day I’ll throw a big party in honour of her life, but for now I’ll start things off slightly more gentle with a little 6 mile walk…”
