Our scenic route begins with a leisurely stroll from Hampton Court Station along the Thames Path, passing by landmarks such as Hampton Court Gardens, Kingston Bridge, Teddington Lock, Petersham, and concluding at Richmond.
This walk is specifically designed for individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one to cancer. We understand the significance of connecting with others who have endured similar grief, and that’s why we are limiting the group to just 25 people. Some of our compassionate volunteers will be there to accompany you, providing support and understanding throughout the journey.
Please keep in mind that, due to the limited capacity, we cannot accommodate guests unless informed in advance. For safety and logistics reasons, we kindly ask that pets and children do not attend.
As you join us on this meaningful walk, we encourage you to participate in our fundraising efforts. Our goal is to raise a minimum of £100 from each walker to continue offering our essential bereavement support services, which have been instrumental in helping countless individuals in their grief.
The Day’s Schedule
We’ll gather at 10:30 am at Hampton Court, with the walk commencing at 10:45 am. Throughout the journey, there will be regular breaks, providing opportunities to share lunch and enjoy the company. The walk is expected to conclude between 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in Richmond, although you are welcome to leave at Kingston Bridge if you prefer a shorter distance.
You don’t need to be an experienced walker for this event. It’s all about coming together, connecting with others who understand your journey, and embracing the great outdoors. The focus is not on being super fit or racing; it’s about creating cherished memories.
