Walking and Remembering

On Saturday 22nd April a team of 17 supporters walked 10 miles in memory of their loved ones. The aim of the day was to meet with others who had lost a loved one to cancer, and to walk and talk about those loved ones. It was a great opportunity for us to get to know some of you better, and we are so grateful to you for joining us.

It was a beautiful day and the sun was shining for us all. We walked through Wimbledon Common to Richmond Park and landed in the Isabella Plantation. All flowers were in bloom!

From here we moved through Richmond Park, along the Thames and ending up in Kew Gardens. The day emphasised just how beneficial it can be to meet with others and talk about loss. As an organisation that promises to never go quiet on loss, we are honoured to have had others join us in not going quiet on loss too.

We are delighted to share that collective sponsorship for the walk raised over £4000! This is a huge amount of money and helps us develop our bereavement support services further so that we can reach and support more people. Donations are still welcome and can be made at; http://www.totalgiving.co.uk/mypage/charitywalk

Thank you to all our walkers. We can’t wait for the next walk!
