Understanding Triggers in Grief
Grief can arrive out of nowhere. A smell, a song, a street – and suddenly the pain can feel as raw as it did before. When this happens, try to pause and gently name it: “This is grief visiting.”
Triggers don’t mean you’re going backwards. They’re signs of love and loss woven into everyday life. When a wave comes, allow it to be there, and trust that it will pass – just as waves always do.
