Grief Support Meeting – Coping with anxiety in the face of grief
18 December 2025 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Theme: This support group is open to anyone who has lost a loved one to cancer.
Join our online grief support meeting on Thursday 18th December 2025 from 10:00am to 11:30am.
Welcome to our 1.5-hour grief support meeting online. This event will focus on coping with anxiety in grief.
The event will be led by one of our Clinical Psychologists and take an active therapeutic approach, which means it will involve some talking as a group but also some structured content focusing specifically on managing feelings of anxiety in grief.
At The Loss Foundation we are committed to providing the best support possible to those who use our services. We know it’s not a one size fits all when it comes to grief, and therefore we are always keen to learn if and how our support is beneficial. People partaking in our online workshop will be invited to complete some questionnaires before and after the event – all of which are made anonymous.
To ensure that the groups run as well as possible online we will be limiting the number of people able to join the session. We often have more people signing up for each group than there are spaces. We know it is difficult to predict how you will feel on the day itself, but please only complete registration if you think you will be able to attend.
This event is for people aged 18 and over. Please get in touch with us if you are looking for support for children so we can signpost you to other organisations.
How will this work?
You can register to join the grief support meeting by clicking the Registration button below.
You will be sent an email with instructions for joining the video and you can click in at the time of the meeting to get started and meet others.
Please note that we are not a crisis service, so if you are in need of immediate support please do reach out to Samaritans who provide immediate listening support. They can be reached on 116 123.
Much like our in-person events, our online support groups are informal and welcoming, and the space is there for you to use it as you need it on the day. Our excellent volunteers will be there to welcome you online and support you.
We send all participants a short survey after the session to get their feedback so that we can improve our services for all. Thank you for your contribution in helping us improve our support.
