Erin’s career spans various roles, including Lead Clinical Psychologist at Barts Health NHS Trust, Associate Clinical Tutor at UCL, and being a Winston Churchill Fellow. In June 2022, Erin was honoured with an MBE in recognition of her commitment to supporting bereaved families, offering not just emotional but strategic leadership in the field of grief and loss.

Through her work, Dr. Thompson has designed and scaled strategic healthcare interventions aimed at providing equitable care and keeping the human aspect at the centre of grief support services. Her knowledge and experience in grief support have led to media contributions on loss, bereavement, and coping strategies.
