Cancer Bereavement Support in June 2026: Free Grief Support Groups, Walks and Workplace Resources

You don’t have to do grief alone this June…

As we step into June, we hope you’re taking care of yourself in whatever ways feel possible. Please remember that The Loss Foundation is here to support you.

This month, we’re hosting a range of online support groups for people bereaved by cancer. Sessions include: LGBTQ+ partner loss to cancer, parent and partner loss to cancer, support through the first year after losing someone to cancer, father loss to cancer, child loss to cancer, and parent loss to cancer for those under 40.

Our grief support bubbles return: parent loss and partner loss to cancer (for those over 50).

As always, you can find all of our upcoming events and register below (it’s simple to do and completely free).

With love from all of us,

Walk & Talk with us this June…

🙌 Volunteer Spotlight 🙌

“Growing up in my family, grief was very present but rarely talked about. I find a lot of meaning in facilitating spaces where every voice matters and can be heard. What I love about volunteering is seeing people connect, who would never have met otherwise.”

“I love being able to create spaces where individuals can come together and be really open and honest about what they are experiencing and feeling…

When someone attends a group for the first time and you can see they feel understoodsupported, and not alone in their grief: this is a really special feeling which I feel privileged to provide to others.”

👟 Walk & Talk Volunteers Needed! 👟

Our charity team is growing, and we’re looking for compassionate, reliable volunteers with strong communication skills and a passion for helping others.

Successful candidates will be warm, friendly, and committed to creating a supportive space where people can walk whilst sharing their experiences. Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

We ask for a minimum 1-year commitment, including facilitating 2–6 walks per year.

We welcome people 2 years after their most recent loss.
