At The Loss Foundation, we know that no single organisation can meet every need of people affected by cancer.
Across the UK, cancer charities provide vital support to patients, families, carers, and those bereaved by cancer. Together, we offer counselling, support groups, practical advice, financial guidance, advocacy, research, education, and so much more.
Yet many organisations face similar challenges: increasing demand for services, funding pressures, workforce wellbeing, demonstrating impact, reaching underserved communities, and ensuring that people can access the right support at the right time.
That’s why we’re delighted to launch the UK Cancer Charity Network – a new LinkedIn community bringing together professionals working across the cancer charity sector.
Why We Created the Network
The cancer charity sector is full of expertise, innovation, and dedication. However, opportunities to connect with colleagues from other organisations can be limited.
We created the UK Cancer Charity Network to provide a space where people can:
- Share ideas and learning
- Discuss common challenges
- Build relationships across organisations
- Highlight resources and good practice
- Explore opportunities for collaboration
- Support one another in delivering the best possible services
Whether you work for a large national charity, a local organisation, a support service, or a specialist cancer charity, your experience and perspective are valuable.
Who Is the Network For?
The network is open to people working across the UK cancer charity sector, including:
- Charity leaders and managers
- Support service teams
- Healthcare professionals
- Counsellors and therapists
- Fundraisers and partnership teams
- Researchers and educators
- Volunteer and community engagement teams
Our aim is to create a welcoming and collaborative space where people can learn from one another and strengthen support for those affected by cancer.
Join the Conversation
The UK Cancer Charity Network is still in its early stages, and we’re excited to see it grow.
If you work in the cancer charity sector and would like to connect with colleagues, share ideas, and be part of a growing professional community, we’d love to welcome you.
Together, we can build a stronger, more connected sector and continue improving support for everyone affected by cancer.
