Could you help shape the next chapter of The Loss Foundation?

The Loss Foundation is entering an exciting new chapter.

For the past 14 years, we’ve been creating communities where people grieving don’t have to feel alone. What started as a small charity has grown into a national organisation supporting bereaved people through grief groups, workplace training and research.

Now, as we put our new strategy into action and look at how we can reach many more people across the UK, we’re looking for new Trustees to join our Board.

Erin (Founder), Sarah (Chair) + Vikki (Trustee) discuss who we’re looking for, and why you may want to join us…

Why become a Trustee with us?

Being a Trustee is an opportunity to use your skills, experience and perspective to help shape an organisation that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

We’re particularly interested in people with experience in strategy, HR, fundraising, marketing, digital and training products.

You don’t need previous Board experience, and you don’t need to have experienced bereavement yourself. What matters is that you care about our mission and want to help us grow our impact.

Our Board is a caring, committed and friendly group. And while grief is at the heart of what we do, being part of The Loss Foundation isn’t all sadness – there’s plenty of laughter, warmth and connection too.

Where we’re heading

We have big plans.

Our new strategy will help us broaden our reach, involve more people in our work and continue developing the ways we support those who are grieving. We also have new research coming through that will help advance our understanding of bereavement and improve support for people experiencing loss.

We’re looking for Trustees who can bring fresh perspectives, challenge us constructively and help us make the most of the opportunities ahead.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back, this could be your chance to help shape the future of a charity that exists for one simple reason: so that no one bereaved by cancer has to face grief alone.

If you, or someone you know, might be a great fit, we’d love you to take a look at our Trustee recruitment pack and consider joining us for the next chapter.

Please share this opportunity with anyone you think could help us make an even bigger difference. 🧡

Please submit your CV (maximum three A4 pages) with a covering letter (maximum two A4 pages) which answers the following two questions:
