We’ve been busy behind the scenes at The Loss Foundation, and we’re very excited to finally share something we’ve been working on: our brand-new collection of greeting cards!
They’re colourful, they’re bold, some of them are sweary, and they’re probably not what you’d expect from a bereavement charity.
But that’s rather the point.
Because sometimes the usual words just don’t cut it.
When someone is grieving, finding the right thing to say can feel impossible.
And while we know people mean well, phrases about staying strong, looking on the bright side or finding silver linings aren’t always what someone needs to hear.
Sometimes, what you really want to say is this is shit, and I’m here for you.
So we created a collection of cards that says things a little differently.
From the unapologetically sweary to the simple and heartfelt, our cards are designed for those moments when you want someone to know you’re thinking of them, without trying to make everything better.
Because grief doesn’t need fixing. And support doesn’t have to come wrapped in a motivational quote.
And yes, we’ve made Christmas cards too.
Christmas can be wonderful, difficult, exhausting, funny, emotional, or all of those things in the space of an afternoon.
So naturally, our Christmas cards aren’t all full of festive cheer and perfect family scenes.
We’ve created a range that brings a little humour and honesty to the season, including some designs for those who aren’t feeling particularly merry.
Because sometimes laughter is welcome, even when life is hard. And sometimes a slightly inappropriate Christmas card is exactly what someone needs.

As a small charity, we provide free bereavement support to people whose loved ones have died from cancer, helping them find connection, understanding and a place where they don’t have to explain their grief.
