Walk and Talks

Join us for Walk and Talk events held throughout the UK, specifically for those who’ve lost a loved one to cancer. These gatherings are casual meet-ups, often involving what it ‘says on the tin’ – walks and talks. Whether it’s a brief urban or rural walk or, in case of unfavourable weather, a shift to a nearby coffee shop, our aim is to provide an informal and comfortable space for you and your grief.

Having organised various social get-togethers over the years, we’ve observed how being surrounded by nature, side by side with someone who understands, makes it easier for people to discuss challenging topics. That’s why we expanded these events nationwide in 2023. The goal is simple: to meet, walk, talk, and feel connected.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by one of our trained volunteers who will provide a brief introduction and accompany the group throughout the event. However, the space is yours to use as needed. Whether you wish to simply be in the company of others who understand without delving into the details of your loss, that’s absolutely welcome. At all our events, everyone is encouraged to talk, but there’s absolutely no pressure to do so. Our focus is on fostering a sense of togetherness.

“At almost every get together I see someone new arrive and witness the emotional release they experience when they realise they are with people that understand and it gets me every time.”
